Overview
Our Global Rights Analyst will work as part of the Global Rights Analysis team to interpret, analyze, and input data related to legal contracts across all Paramount brands. This role is based at the CMT offices in downtown Nashville!
Responsibilities
- Work with Paramount Business and Legal Affairs, and other departments to interpret, analyze and input data related to legal contracts across all of Paramount brands
- Support all rights queries which include from Paramount's revenue-generating business groups such as Advertising Sales, Consumer Products, International Program Sales, Digital and Content Distribution management etc.
- Input data and information pertaining to the rights, restrictions and other provisions contained in locally produced program development and production agreements, as well as distribution agreements
- Input all rights information necessary into our international scheduling system (WOn) via technical integration
- Perform multiple tasks with shifting priorities on short notice
- Review legal agreements
- Perform data entry and use multiple databases and computer programs, as well as legal file management
- Create reports as business opportunities necessitate
- Consult with supervising Global Rights Analyst Department Manager as necessary to interpret deal points
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of rights analysis, contract management, or paralegal experience
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to communicate and liaise with different teams across the world
Additional Qualifications
- Paralegal certificate or other legal degree preferred, but not required. Please Note: This is not an attorney position
- Related experience at an entertainment law firm or business/legal affairs position at a major studio or network is preferred, but not required.
- Experience in a multi-location company is also a plus.
- Strong written and verbal interpersonal skills with the ability to handle conflict and be effective in a team environment
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced business environment, and to deliver on commitments
- Desire and willingness to learn new skills
- Self-motivator with a positive professional disposition
