Overview & Responsibilities


Paramount Global is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join our HR Ops Platforms & Solutions team. Working with the Director of HR Platforms & Solutions, this team is primarily dedicated to driving strategic operational change and building solutions using data, technology, and creative problem solving. Our goal is to solve complex business problems, design innovative solutions, and drive transformation. The Business Systems Analyst role will work very closely with our ServiceNow group and serve as a liaison between technical staff and user groups. They will consult directly with HR Business Partners and multi-functional teams to help build and lead operational excellence and to proactively seek out opportunities for improvement. They will perform duties related to the implementation, enhancement, and testing of our ServiceNow HR system and helping with project management. Responsibilities

•    Closely partner with the ServiceNow application developers to help maintain and enhance our current ServiceNow HR system
•    Provide advanced knowledge of systems to ensure functionality meets customer requirements and serve as a resource for complex issues and solutions
•    Consult with multi-functional users to identify business needs, develop system requirements, and translate requirements into technical specifications for developers
•    Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT), fix failures, conduct quality assurance checks, debug and solve issues, and help determine solutions
•    Present program and project level status updates for different partners, including Scrum reports. 
•    Present release notes as items move to production for team awareness.
•    Lead meetings, facilitate trainings, and assist in communicating and implementing new processes and solutions. 
•    Collect user feedback regarding system performance and work with the ServiceNow team to prioritize configuration requests
•    Interpret information, ideas and instructions and communicate clearly and accurately both verbally and in writing
•    Ensure business solutions meet strategic goals through project management and analyzing functional and systems requirements and driving productivity
•    Perform system data audits and business analysis to identify key metrics (SLAs and KPIs) to drive/support strategic business decisions
•    Prepare reports and dashboards for systems monitoring and to determine gaps and opportunities for improvement

 

Basic Qualifications 

•    5+ years of direct experience working with systems, relational databases, business operations; preferably with working knowledge of data and operational needs across HR functions, including HR business partnership, Comp & Ben, TA, and HR Systems/Operations
•    Solid understanding of systems and working with platforms such as ServiceNow, Salesforce, SuccessFactors, Slack, Tableau, etc.; experience with ServiceNow is preferred
•    Superb verbal and written communication skills; ability to speak to various partners with different technical skill levels and the ability to define requirements for developers

 

 

Additional Qualifications

•    Ability to learn and exhibit developer-level understanding and an understanding of Agile methodology; ability to define and document system requirements and workflows for developers.
•    Functional analyst who can lead meetings with both technical staff and user groups
•    Solid project management and organizational skills; experience leading technology and software projects is preferred.
•    Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to empathize with users to evaluate the user journey and determine opportunities for improvement
•    Ability to analyze processes within a multi-functional organization; effective in implementing new and improved processes.
•    Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment with quick deadlines and shifting priorities.
•    Possesses strong organization skills with the ability to handle various tasks.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

 

Hiring Salary Range: $75,000.00 - 85,000.00. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.  The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable,  as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
