Simon & Schuster is seeking a Demand Planning Analyst with 1-3 years of experience in Inventory Planning or Operations
 
Responsibilities incude:
 
•    Managing inventory levels of backlist for the Simon & Schuster and Scribner imprints
•    Reviewing monthly sales title by title, making printing/pricing recommendations, preparing agenda, and holding weekly reprint meetings with Associate Publishers
•    Reviewing and updating the inventory system used to track backlist inventory and sales
•    Reviewing daily large orders and making allocation and reprint recommendations
•    Reviewing active reprints to ensure timely delivery and prioritization
•    Ordering priority reprints as needed
•    Sending warehouse requests for inventory moves and dispositions 
•    Creating, updating, reviewing and sending out daily and weekly inventory reports 
•    Requesting updates and changes to title data with the Title Maintenance group
•    General Departmental support—including running daily and weekly reports

 

A college degree in inventory analysis, business, operations or another pertinent field is required.
 

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

 

 

The annual salary for this position is $58,000.00 - $62,000.00 

 

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.  The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable,  as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
