Director, Content Security Vendor Management

This position is an essential component of the implementation and operations of Paramount’s Content Security efforts. As such, this role will partner closely with all areas of the Content Security team to implement, review, and assess compliance with established content security policies.

Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:

•    Manage and conduct risk assessments of Paramount vendors (production, post-production, visual effects, localization, etc.) by evaluating content workflows and associated physical and digital/cloud security controls to confirm compliance.
•    Proactively verify vendor assessment & remediation status to avoid content pipeline disruptions. 
•    Act and respond as the day-to-day escalation point for all assessment requests and communicate with business units about their vendor’s progress.
•    Support all aspects of the security assessments, including planning, fieldwork, reporting, and archiving.
•    Performing security gap analysis, asset classification, implementation, and mitigation of controls within the vendor management program.
•    Conduct security assessments against established security frameworks (e.g., SOC, NIST, ISO 17799/27002, PCI, MPA/TPN).
•    Manage and oversee the vendor management program SAAS platform leveraged to support the vendor assessment process, develop metrics and reporting, design enhancements, and manage the roadmap of the program.
•    Liaise and foster relationships with vendors, external partners, and internal business users to identify, report, and remediate risks related to Paramount’s vendor policy and guidelines.
•    Implement and enforce Paramount’s security policies through escalation to appropriate management and tracking of outcomes and timelines.
•    Support increased digital security testing and content protection technology/anti-piracy testing.
•    Function as an integral member of the Paramount Content Security team comprised of Legal, Technology, and Operations.
•    Occasionally work non-standard shifts and/or on-call to support the requirements of the organization.
•    Travel will be required.

Qualifications/Skills

Basic Qualifications:
•    Minimum 5 years of relevant Content Security/Information Security experience
•    Understanding of secure network principles and device hardening
•    Working knowledge of On-Prem and Cloud configurations, firewalls and network switching/routing devices
•    Working knowledge of entertainment content production, processing, handling, and delivery workflows
•    Strong ability to evaluate risk through analysis, organization, and investigation.
•    Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is desired. 

Desired skills:
•    Must have strong communication (written and verbal) and listening skills
•    Experience auditing management systems, physical security, and digital security protocols at facilities
•    Thorough knowledge and technical skills around current and developing content security/anti-piracy technology, industry standards and regulations
•    Thorough knowledge of feature film production and post-production industries, services, and workflows (e.g., DI, editing, visual/audio effects, encoding, dubbing, DVD/BD replication)
•    Able to maintain awareness of trends and developments in the area of media security
•    Ability to adapt to new technologies and trends
•    Able to learn and retain new skills as required supporting a continually changing technical environment
•    Able to communicate at a technical level with technical professionals, as well as communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical management

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

 

 

Hiring Salary Range: $150,000.00 - 165,000.00. 

 

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.  The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable,  as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
