OVERVIEW AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Deal Finance team provides financial and analytical support to the US Networks Distribution group arising from the distribution of Paramount broadcast stations and domestic cable networks. This team works closely with all members of the deal team and is a vital resource for the group. We are seeking a candidate at the Director level to develop deep analysis and provide strategic insights to support renewal and new business efforts, as well as drive strategic conversations for renewal. This is a highly visible role within our organization and ideal for someone who enjoys and is an expert at financial modeling and strategic thinking. 

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

-  Developing deep knowledge of key affiliate agreements, particularly pricing and packaging

-  Developing financial models to analyze economics of distribution deals

-  Evaluates proposals, prepares financial scenarios and develops a strategic and thoughtful point of view

-  Conducting company and industry research and incorporating analysis for senior internal decision making

-  Using strategic insights and expertise to prepare presentations for senior management on upcoming renewals

-  Ensuring compliance and documentation bound by distribution agreements 

-  Ad hoc analysis, real time modeling and special projects


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
-  Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Finance

-  6+ years' of experience working in a highly analytical environment (top-tier investment banking, business development, consulting, strategy groups). 

-  Advanced skills in Excel (build financial models) and PowerPoint. Must be comfortable working with large data sets and databases.


ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
-  MBA and media industry experience a plus

-  Must possess excellent analytical and communication skills

-  Detail oriented, with the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously in a demanding, fast-paced environment

-  Great teammate with strong project management and organizational skills

-  Curious businessperson with the ability to develop creative solutions

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

 

Hiring Salary Range: $128,000.00 - $151,000.00. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.  The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable,  as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
