CBS News is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and resourceful Executive Assistant to support the Executive Producer of CBS Mornings. This role is critical to the success and efficiency of the Executive Producer, serving as a trusted partner responsible for managing a high volume of meetings, communications, travel arrangements, and day-to-day operational needs in a fast-paced newsroom environment.
Supporting a leader responsible for overseeing a staff of more than 100 employees, the Executive Assistant plays a key role in ensuring priorities remain organized and business operations run smoothly. In addition to providing executive support, this individual will help manage talent-related needs, coordinate special projects, and oversee office operations, including workspace and resource organization.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a complex and ever-changing calendar, ensuring the Executive Producer remains informed of schedule changes, priorities, and critical business matters.
- Coordinate and schedule internal and external meetings, including logistics, materials, and follow-up actions.
- Arrange and manage domestic and international travel, including detailed itineraries and related logistics.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for incoming requests and communications, exercising sound judgment in prioritizing matters requiring executive attention.
- Assist with talent-related logistics and administrative needs.
- Support office management functions, including workspace coordination, resource organization, and operational support for the team.
- Prepare presentations, reports, correspondence, spreadsheets, and other business documents.
- Process and reconcile expense reports in a timely and accurate manner.
- Anticipate challenges, identify solutions, and proactively support the Executive Producer's daily operations.
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with the highest level of discretion and professionalism.
- Support special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure news environment while maintaining professionalism and composure.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Excellent written, verbal, and organizational communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and adapt to changing business needs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
- Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain strict confidentiality.
Work Schedule: fully in office at the CBS News Broadcast Center, 524 W 57th Street.
- Monday – Friday
- In-office: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Remote: 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM
- Flexibility may be required based on business and production needs.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $50,000.00 - 60,000.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
