The Special Markets team is seeking a sale driven Assistant Manager to oversee and manage the day-to-day functions on Faire.com a B2B marketplace.  The assistant manager will work with independent retailers across the country and prospect new business. This is an exciting opportunity to work within the special sales territory and learn the sales patterns of this highly competitive and growing marketplace.  This position reports to and works closely with the Director of Gift Sales.

 

Key Responsibilities Include: 
•    Find opportunities and ways for brands to grow and drive revenue on the platform including but not limited to sales, promotions, marketing, outreach and top shop status.
•    Work with wholly owned and distribution clients and Faire account managers to communicate changes, updates, and new product road mapping opportunities.
•    Provide timely and thorough customer service for accounts using the platform.
•    Build out detailed product pages including lifestyle and silhouetted images, product description details, collection pages and bundling.
•    Implement relevant marketing and advertising outreach to promote new products and/or attain new Faire.com accounts. 
•    Pass along all new account leads to appropriate sales reps to make sure that accounts are being serviced.
•    Processing new account information and following up on any missing information. 
•    Work with the order entry and warehouse teams to make sure information is being fed back in the faire platform in a timely manner.
•    Work collaboratively to make sure sales reps and accounts are updated on account ordering. 
•    Prospect and look for new business and keep track of all new account openings and sales.
•    Travel is required and candidate must represent Simon & Schuster at regional gifts shows located throughout the US in the winter and summer months.

 

Requirements:  
•    Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Special Sales preferably in Specialty Gift Sales 
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•    Excellent organizational and follow-up skills
•    Strong attention to detail
•    Analytical and data driven and measure progress/success for initiatives.
•    Ability to work well under pressure and proactively solve problems.
•    Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

The annual salary for this position is $65,000.00 - $65,000.00 

 

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.  The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable,  as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
