The Mailroom Screener services the Mailroom, Receiving and CBS Stockroom position and involves accepting large truck deliveries, sorting, and distributing incoming mail and packages, maintaining accurate records, tracking deliveries, and ensuring timely and secure handling of all deliveries.
This role is fully onsite at the Broadcast Center and hours are Monday-Friday, 8am to 4pm.
Responsibilities:
• Receiving and Verifying: Accept incoming mail and packages from postal services and couriers UPS, FedEx, Amazon and Truck Deliveries.
• Sorting and Distributing: Sort mail and packages by recipient, department, or floor, and deliver them to the correct individuals.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs and records of all incoming and outgoing mail and packages, often using computer systems for tracking.
• Package Handling: Ensure the secure handling and storage of sensitive documents and packages, inspecting items for damage upon receipt.
• Inventory Management: Manage and maintain stock of mailroom supplies.
• Inter-office Mail: Process and deliver inter-office mail within the organization.
• Managing Heavy Equipment: Electric Floor Jack and Fork Lift
Skills and Qualifications
• Organizational and Time Management Skills: To efficiently handle high volumes of mail and meet delivery deadlines.
• Attention to Detail: Crucial for accurate sorting, record-keeping, and preventing errors.
• Computer Proficiency: Skill in using mailroom equipment and data entry software for tracking and record management and using Microsoft Outlook to send email
• Communication Skills: For interacting with couriers and internal staff regarding mail, and answering phone calls.
• Confidentiality: The ability to handle sensitive documents and information with discretion.
• Physical Abilities: The role involves standing, walking, and moving heavy items (often 30-50 lbs regularly) is crucial throughout the day.
• Teamwork: Ability to collaborate with other team members to achieve shared goals.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $40,000.00 - 50,000.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
