Overview:

We are seeking a Manager, Content Acquisitions, to be a contributor in acquiring content for Paramount's TV Media Group. The Manager will work closely with the Directors in the Content Acquisitions Department and key partners in the TV Media Group and with a wide range of teams throughout the company, including Programming, Finance, and Research. This role is designed as a team contributor and will support negotiations for movie deals and series negotiations.
 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

•    Support the process and negotiations for movie packages, additional service options, additional telecast options for assigned studios business.
•    Work with Acquisitions team to prep and strategize series acquisitions, working on ensuring all documents are accurate and ready for negotiations.
•    Develop and distribute Internal Deal Memos, communicating key deal points to appropriate constituents.
•    Work with Acquisitions and Legal teams to ensure contracts for closed deals are accurately drafted and closed and executed on time.
•    Manage the input of closed deals into the department’s database.
•    Track competitive marketplace information and ensure that it’s entered in department database.
 

Basic Qualifications:

•    Bachelor’s degree.
•    5+ years of experience in Content Acquisitions, Programming or Scheduling with strong film and TV series knowledge.
•    Strong analytical understanding, including fluency in Excel and PowerPoint.
 

Additional Qualifications:

•    Experience utilizing Salesforce a plus. 
•    Familiarity with industry trends, competitive landscapes, and market analysis.
•    Ability to pivot with ease and flexibility and strong attention to detail and consistency.
•    Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear insights.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

 

Hiring Salary Range: $85,000.00 - 130,000.00. 

 

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.  The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable,  as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
