Overview & Responsibilities:

The Manager of Global Consumer Product Business Operations is the Subject Matter Expert for Paramount's Consumer Products (CP) financial and contract management processes, solutions, and operations linked to current business platforms. They will assist the Director of Global CP Business Operations in evaluating ongoing business needs and requirements for Consumer Product Finance, Legal and Global Sales functions to support Paramount's OTC, financial and legal systems platform. The Manager will partner with cross-functional teams and supervise one Senior Business Analyst to resolve problems related to financial and contract management processes for the current CP business platforms.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Support Director as additional CP Global Operations liaison to the Finance, Financial Shared Services Team, Legal, Sales, Technology and Accounting groups on issues that may impact current royalty and contract management processes and systems. Manages new systems implementations projects; run project meetings and status updates
  • Aid the Director in handling the administrative activities (e.g. Sales system to GL interface, SOX compliance, contract, forecast, security and royalty administration, trouble ticket management, etc.) connected to current CP systems and processes.
  • Assist Director in developing design specification documents. Develop use cases/test cases for CP finance, legal, global sales, and creative functions for final phases of CP Licensee/Agent Portal (Deal Entry, Royalties, Forecasting) implementation
  • Maintain project requirements demonstrating Jira user histories and defects, and support Director in Sprint management
  • Resolve ongoing issues related to current CP contract, royalty and risk management process and systems (i.e., Deal Memo system [SalesForce], Contract Management System [License Maestro], Licensee/Agent Portal (Royalties/Invoicing/Cash, Forecasting), SAP GL Interface.
  • In conjunction with Tech, evaluate and test new releases of SalesForce Deal Memo system and License Maestro contract and royalty management system.
  • Responsible for quarterly Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) reconciliations, and daily trouble ticket resolution/monthly trouble ticket reporting

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Business degree/systems experience
  • 3+ years of Consumer Products global licensing industry work experience

 

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience in operations management, business process analysis, finance, and accounting.
  • Knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, Consumer Products finance, and entertainment industry practices. Ability to interpret and understand operational implications of contractual terms
  • Strong MS Office suite (specifically MS Excel)
  • SAP and SalesForce experience a plus!
  • Ability to work as an influencer in a matrix organization
  • Diligent with ability to resolve systems and process issues in short turnaround and in a combining manner with cross-divisional peers
  • Ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects and assignments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. You will be interacting with peer collaborators within the business (Sales/Line of Business [LOB]), functional (Finance & Legal), and Media Technology Services (MTS) teams
  • Ability to understand and use various business software applications and solutions platforms

Hiring Salary Range: $90,000.00 - 100,000.00. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.  The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable,  as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
