Overview / Role Details:
CBS Digital is looking for a Manager, Streaming Operations with deep experience in the news and entertainment news space to oversee the day-to-day operations of our daily news FAST channels. The right candidate will look at our channels from an audience POV, half the role spent working with our engineering and product teams, and half the role working with our programming team planning daily content. You’ll bring your expertise to help launch and grow new streaming networks, and program and produce engaging content for some of our biggest CBS and CBS News brands. Additional responsibilities could include curating VOD trays for our app/partner platforms and optimizing our content for SEO and social. The right candidate will embrace new technologies and combine Control Room efficiency with a strategic ability to identify stories people want to watch and share. You’ll bring a keen understanding of production workflows, a demonstrated ability to problem-solve in a deadline driven environment, and you’re a technical Swiss Army knife. 
Above all, this position requires exceptional editorial judgement and strong organizational and communication skills. 

Responsibilities:
•    Working with our CBS and CBS News product and engineering teams, hone and build workflows to increase efficiency for our programming teams 
•    Working with show teams, build daily and weekly streaming and FAST channel programs 
•    Build, load and time hourly rundowns for live and automated shows
•    Skillfully manage breaking and developing news situations, adapting production plans as needed to deliver timely programs
•    Manage streaming content production during live events 
•    Develop innovative show concepts utilizing new and archive content 
•    Working with our design leads, develop additional show and channel elements, such as interstitials, teases, rejoiners, tickers, snipes, etc 
•    Manage CMS system with show descriptions, tags and thumbnails

Basic Qualifications:
Proven experience as a producer with 5+ years of experience.

Additional qualifications:
•    Experience with video playout systems like Amagi, as well as the CMS Drupal
•    Familiarity with iNews or other rundown system
•    Experience producing live shows
•    Knowledge of OTT platforms
•    Proficiency with excel sheets
•    Proficiency with graphic systems 
•    Skilled collaborator who can productively work with anyone and roll with the punches as a day’s priorities change 
•    Excellent communicator; you use words well. 
•    Bonus points if you’ve ever been part of a network launch of any kind and can bring that POV to our team!

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $85,000.00 - 107,000.00. 

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.  The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable,  as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
