46743 Manager, Technical Program Management — AI/ML

Overview & Summary:

Overview We’re seeking a Manager of Technical Program Management. This role will lead the delivery of Consumer AI. Consumer AI is the team focused on applied machine learning. They work on personalization, recommendations, and other AI-driven experiences for Paramount+ and Pluto TV. You will own delivery of cross-team programs and serve as a delivery engine for the roadmaps of the teams you support. The teams and focus areas will shift as business priorities do. This is a program management role, not an engineering role. You won’t write production code or design systems. You’ll bring the structure, visibility and coordination that let researchers and engineers advance fast, and you’ll understand the technology well enough to ask the right questions and spot risk early.

What you’ll do

Own end-to-end delivery of programs spanning multiple teams, from early experiments through production launch, across research, engineering and product.
Define scope, milestones, OKRs and success metrics, and give senior executives clear, executive-ready updates on status, risks, decisions and tradeoffs.
Give management reliable visibility into what is being built and learned, including experiment status and results and timelines to internal testing and launch.
Own cross-team dependency tracking and priority alignment, including with teams outside Consumer AI, influencing a matrixed set of stakeholders without formal authority.
Identify delivery and technical risks early (data quality, model readiness, infrastructure capacity) and drive mitigation with the accountable owners.
Facilitate root-cause clarity on blocking issues and escalate decisions with crisp options and a recommendation.
Translate technical tradeoffs into clear plans for technical and non-technical audiences.
Use AI-assisted tools to build the operational tooling, dashboards and automation that improve how teams run.

Basic qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent applicable experience.
8+ years of experience in Technical Program Management, Engineering Program Management, or a related role delivering complex, multi-team technical systems.
Experience delivering programs for applied ML systems, such as personalization, ranking, recommendation or content knowledge, or for the data and platform infrastructure behind them.
Day-to-day fluency with AI-assisted tools applied to program management work, such as dashboards, reporting and automation. You are not expected to write production code.
Working knowledge with at least one major cloud platform.
Proven ability to operate in ambiguity and bring structure to a fast-moving, still-evolving problem space.

Additional qualifications

Knowledge with the applied ML lifecycle: experimentation and evaluation, productionization and monitoring.
Awareness with data and embedding pipelines and vector-based retrieval concepts.
Knowledge with emerging practices such as prompt and context engineering and agent orchestration.
