Overview: 

The Project Design Coordinator of Design and Construction is a Nashville, TN position who will be a key support resource on small to large scale construction, interior design, and furniture projects focusing on creating an optimal environment for productivity, employee engagement, and overall well-being.
 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

•    Provide a high level of architectural and interior design services by assisting Project Managers through all phases of design and construction, workplace strategy initiatives and solutions, FFE specification packages for the domestic real estate portfolio. This includes representing Paramount to the outside consultants hired to design the space and serving as “Owner Representative” at design and construction meetings.  
•    Assist the Project Managers with the design, review, and selection of interior layouts, furniture and finishes. Provide presentation layouts, furniture and finishes to clients for approval.  Create design presentations for internal Clients. Develop documents, presentations, and specifications for contractor or vendor proposals. Document meetings and approvals. 
•    Assist and coordinate all furniture processes for Paramount, including designing private offices using the developed furniture standards.  Managing external designers on the design of private offices for senior executives. Manage and coordinate services from furniture dealers and vendors.
•    Coordinate and maintain the material library and D&C standard workplace and design guidelines.
•    Create and maintain relationships with consultants, construction vendors and furniture dealers.  Develop dealer support services including timely project quotes, specification writing, and layouts, etc.  
•    Collaborate and coordinate D&C activities with all Real Estate & Facilities staff as an integral means of achieving departmental synergy and goal of providing a high level of customer service.
•    Develop and maintain good rapport with the Core Services Regional staff, all Viacom point people, IS&T, Telecom, Security, Production Technologies and vendors.
 

Basic Qualifications :

•    Minimum of 7+ years in Interior Design with an Architectural or Interior Design firm.
•    Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design or related degree.
 

Additional Qualifications:

•    Commitment and passion for design; ability to connect concept through to the details with a high level of style, innovative design and professionalism.
•    Excellent research & sourcing skills, specifically understanding of furniture and finishes
•    Excellent computer skills i.e.; Word, Excel, Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD (Revit). 3D modeling a plus
•    Knowledge of the construction industry and an understanding of construction terminology and framework.  Includes the ability to read architectural and engineering drawings.
•    Active membership in IIDA, AIA, or Core Net preferred. LEED, WELL certified professional a plus.
•    Ability to work individually and manage multiple tasks and projects.
•    Excellent interpersonal communication skills, verbal and written.
•    High level of motivational and organizational skills coupled with exemplary administrative skills with an attention to detail and follow-up.
