Simon & Schuster is seeking an Oracle Lead -  Specific responsibilities include:


•    Configure Oracle Financial modules based on organizational requirements and industry best practices.
•    Implement and customize Oracle Financial applications to align with specific business processes.
•    Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements related to financial processes.
•    Translate business requirements into functional specifications for Oracle Financial modules.
•    Evaluate existing financial processes and identify areas for improvement and optimization using Oracle Financial tools.
•    Propose and implement process enhancements to streamline financial operations and enhance efficiency.
•    Coordinate integration of Oracle Financial applications with other business systems to ensure seamless data flow and accurate reporting.
•    Manage data migration activities to ensure accurate and secure transfer of financial data into Oracle Financial modules.
•    Conduct training sessions for end-users to ensure a clear understanding of Oracle Financial modules and functionalities.
•    Provide ongoing support and guidance to users, addressing their queries and resolving system-related issues.
•    Develop and maintain financial reports and dashboards using Oracle Financial tools to facilitate informed decision-making.
•    Perform data analysis and interpretation to generate insights for financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
•    Ensure that the Oracle Financial system complies with relevant financial regulations, industry standards, and organizational policies.
•    Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and assess their impact on Oracle Financial modules.
•    Customize Oracle Financial modules as needed to accommodate unique business requirements and evolving organizational needs.
•    Collaborate with developers and technical teams to design and implement enhancements and customizations.
•    Develop and execute test cases to validate the functionality and performance of Oracle Financial modules
•    Ensure quality assurance by identifying and addressing any defects or issues during the testing process.
•    Create and maintain comprehensive documentation including process flows, user guides, and training materials.
•    Share expertise and best practices with team members to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
•    Work closely with Oracle and related vendors to address software-related issues, obtain updates, and stay informed about product roadmaps.
•    Advocate for necessary enhancements or updates to meet organizational requirements.
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams and project managers to ensure successful implementation of Oracle Financial projects within defined timelines and budgets.
•    Effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and resources accordingly.

Experience and Education: 
•    Proficiency in configuring, implementing, and customizing Oracle Financial applications to meet business requirements.
•    Leads and directs the work of other employees and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination. 
•    Contributes to strategic planning, direction, and goal setting for the department or function in collaboration with senior IT and business management. 
•    Establishes departmental policies, practices, and procedures that have a significant impact on the organization and functional wellbeing. 
•    Experience overseeing vendors responsible for the transition and implementation of IT related services. 
•    Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 7-10 years of hands-on experience working with Oracle Financial modules (E-Business Suite Financials)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

 

 

The annual salary for this position is $160,000.00 - $180,00.00 

 

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.  The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable,  as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
