Overview and Responsibilities:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Paralegal to support our dynamic in-house litigation team. This is not a traditional paralegal role—it combines elements of litigation support with administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in litigation coordination, with strong skills in case tracking, document management, and cross-functional collaboration.
The candidate will play a critical role in managing high-volume case activity, overseeing administrative tasks, and ensuring seamless communication between internal stakeholders and external counsel. This position requires someone highly organized, proactive, and comfortable balancing both legal and administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Internal and External Coordination: Collaborate with internal stakeholders and outside counsel to assist in document preservation, collection, review, and production for litigation matters. Assist in subpoena responses, including gathering, reviewing, and organizing relevant materials.
- Reporting & Documentation: Prepare summaries, reports, and case updates for internal legal leadership regarding case status and developments; maintain internal litigation resources and shared platforms. Support other initiatives as necessary.
- Case Tracker Management: Maintain and oversee a litigation case tracker, with a focus on a large volume of personal injury matters.
- Class Action Recovery Oversight: Monitor and coordinate third party class action settlement recoveries, including collecting documents, tracking deadlines, and communicating with outside counsel.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a paralegal, legal coordinator, or litigation support role.
- Bachelor’s degree required; paralegal certification preferred.
Additional Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of litigation processes, particularly personal injury and class action matters.
- Proficiency in legal case management tools (e.g., iManage) and document review platforms (e.g., Relativity).
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working in an in-house legal department or with media, entertainment or production clients is a plus.
