The DayForce Payroll Manager will be responsible for our payroll processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance with all laws and regulations, and the timely delivery of payroll services to our employees in the US. This person will ensure that employees are paid accurately and timely while staying compliant with company guidelines, and relevant laws and regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensure timely, accurate and compliance payroll.
• Accurately calculate salaries, bonuses, incentives, wages, overtime, and deductions.
• Manage changes in employee compensation and terminations.
• Coordinate with HR team to ensure accurate and timely processing of new hires, term, and other employee changes.
• Maintain accurate and current employee payroll records including tax withholding forms, payroll deductions, changes in employee status and other payroll information.
• Safeguard employee confidentiality.
• Stay current on federal, state, and local tax regulations as to how they affect payroll and maintain compliance.
• Work with the Director of Tax to make sure deposits and filings are correct and on time.
• Monitor employee attendance and timekeeping systems to confirm that information is recorded properly.
• Generate reports and summaries of payroll data.
• Address payroll related issues and inquiries from employees, including helping employees understand paystub information.
• Troubleshoot payroll issues as necessary.
• Lead the development and implementation of payroll related policies and SOPs. Streamline payroll processes and workflows when possible.
• Cross- functional collaboration with Finance, HR, Legal and other departments to ensure seamless payroll related issues.
• Prepare for and participate in payroll audits.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum 7 years of payroll processing experience
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, human resources, business administration, or a related field.
• Strong mathematical, organizational and time management skills.
• History of creating payroll reports and compiling payroll data.
• Proficiency in using payroll software and systems including Ceridian DayForce.
• Expertise in Excel
• Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information with the utmost integrity.
• Strong organizational, analytical, communication skills and attention to detail.
• Flexibility and ability to work professionally in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to provide outstanding customer service to internal customers.
• Understanding of labor laws is a plus.
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) a bonus.
• Exposure to entry level accounting is a plus.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The annual salary for this position is $100,000.00 - $120,000.00
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
