Contract based role through end of January 2027. This is an on-site role requiring (5) days in office based in New York City, NY. 

Description: The Product Operations Coordinator role will provide operational and production support for News digital consumer platforms. This role will support day-to-day operations, workflows, and content needs and updates related to CBS News Digital platforms (Web and Mobile Apps) and properties. It is essential to ensure consistent support.

Responsibilities

  • Support a leading consumer-facing news organization with day-to-day product operations, including CMS workflows and production execution
  • Maintain publishing processes, tools, and operational best practices
  • Assist with widget setup, coordination, and execution for News and election-related initiatives
  • Support publishing operations across News workflows to ensure timely and accurate content delivery, processes, tools, and operational best practices
  • Build operational redundancy for election and major event coverage
  • Partner with Product, Editorial, and CMS/platform teams to support daily execution and delivery
  • Prioritize and manage work across multiple initiatives using agile workflows
  • Monitor, triage, and resolve operational issues, escalating when appropriate
  • Perform additional operational responsibilities as assigned

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 2+ years of experience in digital publishing, content management, product support, or a related digital consumer environment preferred
  • Experience with CMS and DAM platforms, publishing workflows, and production operations
  • Strong operational mindset with the ability to manage detail-oriented, fast-paced workflows
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with Product, Editorial, Engineering, and Platform teams
  • Ability to quickly learn new tools, workflows, and publishing processes
  • Strong problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail, particularly in live or time-sensitive environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Proven ability to prioritize competing workstreams, adapt to changing priorities, and execute reliably in a fast-paced environment

Hiring Salary Range: $37.00 - 37.00. 

 

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
