Overview:

The SVP, Ad Sales Growth Strategy will lead the strategic narrative and business positioning for Paramount’s advertising business as part of the Revenue Operations organization supporting Paramount Ad Sales. This role will partner across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Investor Relations, and Business Intelligence to translate business performance into clear, compelling insights that shape executive decision-making, revenue strategy, and marketplace positioning.
This leader will work closely with senior leadership to help define how the advertising business is positioned internally and externally across strategic initiatives, board materials, earnings support, Upfront strategy, and key stakeholder communications. The role will also play a critical part in identifying growth opportunities, evaluating market dynamics, and helping shape the long-term monetization strategy across linear, streaming, and digital.
 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Translate business performance, marketplace dynamics, and risks into clear, compelling narratives for senior leadership
  • Partner with CRO and leadership team on strategic messaging, positioning, and key business initiatives
  • Ensure consistency of storytelling and strategic alignment across internal and external communications
  • Synthesize inputs from BI, Finance, Sales, and Revenue Operations into cohesive executive insights and recommendations
  • Support strategic planning for key business moments including Upfront, advertiser negotiations, and earnings
  • Lead development of board materials, earnings support, executive presentations, and strategic communications
  • Develop strategic frameworks and recommendations to support monetization, pricing, packaging, and go-to-market decisions
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive positioning, and marketplace dynamics to inform executive decision-making
  • Identify growth opportunities, operational risks, and emerging business themes to help shape a forward-looking strategy
  • Build and lead a high-performing strategy function that partners effectively across Revenue Operations and Ad Sales leadership

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience in strategy, revenue operations, finance, consulting, or advertising within the media industry
  • Strong understanding of advertising revenue drivers across linear, streaming, digital, and programmatic businesses

 

Additional Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to translate complex business performance and data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations
  • Strong analytical foundation with experience synthesizing large and complex datasets into executive-level insights
  • Experience supporting executive leadership and preparing board-level materials and strategic presentations
  • Deep understanding of marketplace dynamics, monetization strategy, and advertising industry trends
  • Exceptional communication, storytelling, and executive presentation skills
  • Executive presence with experience influencing senior leadership in highly visible environments
  • Ability to operate effectively across functions and build strong partnerships across Sales, Finance, Analytics, and Operations
  • High level of judgment with strong prioritization, attention to detail, and focus in dynamic environments

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

 

Hiring Salary Range: $233,600.00 - 350,400.00. 

 

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.  The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable,  as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
