Role Overview & Responsibilities
We are seeking a BET Networks Sales Planner to be a critical team member in driving revenue via strategic media plan building, maintaining client schedules to ensure delivery of media buys, and providing excellent customer service to our advertising partners.

 

This role will report to the Director Pricing & Planning, work out of the New York HQ office and work hybrid schedule!

 

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Prepare and revise upfront and scatter plans for BET, BET Her and VH-1 that meet or exceed company goals, as well as fulfill agency requirements for media buys
  • Support Account Executives by fielding daily requests from clients 
  • Work closely with Sales Assistants to ensure delivery of buys, flighting, allocations, and preemptions
  • Communicate directly with appropriate agency counterparts as needed to properly service and steward their deals
  • Collaborate with the Inventory team to enforce all pricing and planning deadlines, policies, and procedures
  • Manage and process all cancellation options
  • Work in tandem with Sales, Brand Solutions and Inventory teams to accurately execute added value for the client

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2 - 3 years of Ad Sales experience (agency and/or sales)

 

Additional Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of the media industry, advertising, and media math
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment subject to deadlines
  • Highly motivated with a strong business work ethic, positive attitude, and professional demeanor
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Outstanding organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Possess the ability to multi-task and handle projects independently, as well as part of a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn new systems, knowledge of Wide Orbit system is a plus

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

 

Hiring Salary Range: $56,000.00 - 70,000.00. 

 

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.  The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable,  as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
