We are looking for a Senior Director, Corporate Travel to join the team! This person will be responsible for the management of the processes and projects for the transient individual corporate travel segment. The Senior Director will be in charge of day-to-day operations for US, EMEA and other territories as assigned and will report to the SVP of Global Travel.

 

  • Oversee operations and remedy service issues for global transient corporate travel
  • Lead contact for CBS News including booking and approval processes especially involving Breaking News situations
  • Monitor travel policy compliance and leakage and seek opportunities to reduce costs and increase savings while maintaining partner support
  • Work with Travel Business Analyst to develop metric dashboards and reporting
  • Hold ultimate responsibility for the preferred hotel and car programs including rate monitoring and availability;
  • Develop standardized reporting for hotel and car programs
  • Assist SVP with the continuing rollout of CWT and Concur in Asia Pac, Middle East, and South Africa
  • Devise plans and methods to increase online booking adoption rates
  • Mentor the Manager of Corporate Travel including day-to-day workflow and career development
  • Build, maintain and nurture strong and positive relationships with all key partners: travel vendors, Paramount Support Functions (IT, HR, Finance) and top Paramount travelers
  • Participate in negotiations with airlines, hotel, and ground transport companies
  • Monitor TMC service level agreements and key performance indicators; investigate when metrics are not met and work with TMC to alleviate issues; reconcile monthly settlement
  • Manage UATP accounts
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of all data provided for reporting to Senior Management and other internal partners
  • Oversee departmental mailbox – track issues and define opportunities for improvement of departmental services; develop reports to ascertain patterns or trends
  • Build and implement traveler surveys to monitor satisfaction levels and recommend changes if necessary
  • Identify and understand industry changes and disruptors and the ramifications and effects on PG Travel
  • Act as GT liaison to the company wide-ESG program
  • Hours may vary and include some nights and weekend work

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in managing global travel in a large corporate program

Additional Qualifications

  • International experience a strong plus
  • Detailed knowledge of airline, hotel and car programs including involvement in negotiations
  • Data analytics experience on all travel categories
  • Experience in customer and business facing environments developing solutions to drive exemplary customer service and operational efficiency
  • Experience leading large, enterprise-wide projects involving cross-functional teams across many areas and levels of an organization
  • Extensive network of industry contacts
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint and pertinent software programs/technologies
  • Experience with project management tools and Concur OBT a strong plus
  • Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills including analysis and reporting
  • Broad and up-to-date knowledge of travel trends and technologies
  • Staff development - experience as a team manager
  • Ability to travel as need be including in emergency situations
  • Ownership of projects and strict accuracy of reporting
  • Ability to shift from one task to another in an ever-changing environment
  • Mentality of going above and beyond
  • Understanding the urgency of certain situations and acting accordingly
  • Capable of working cross-functionally with other departments and various levels of internal staff (C-level to administrative assistants)
  • Ability to think on the macro and micro level simultaneously

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

 

Hiring Salary Range: $139,200.00 - 174,000.00. 

 

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.  The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable,  as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
