We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Director, Capacity & Planning (FinOps) leader to join our dynamic team. This critical role will be responsible for developing and implementing cloud financial operations (FinOps) program, using sophisticated prediction models to reduce operational costs, forecast growth and capacity requirements, and optimize cloud utilization. Additionally, this leader will play a key role in various programs, including Objective and Key Result (OKR) management, departmental analytics (including spend analysis and mapping), transformational metrics (financial), and KPI management. As we continue to mature our cloud first initiatives, this position will play a pivotal role in optimizing costs and maintaining alignment with Infrastructure and Cloud Operation’s Tech's Objectives and Key Results (OKRs). The successful candidate will collaborate closely with application teams to gather essential inputs and ensure accurate budget forecasts.
The Senior Director, Capacity & Planning will report to the VP of Transformation Management & Delivery, serving as a key strategic partner responsible for financial mapping and planning of major transformation initiatives, including our cloud financial operations (FinOps) program.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Manage Paramount’s cloud FinOps program, providing capacity planning, financial mapping, optimization recommendations, and the streamlining of cloud infrastructure costs and financial reporting.
• Develop and implement cost management strategies to improve cost efficiency while maintaining performance and scalability.
• Maintain and develop financial deal models to support territory-specific business needs.
• Set clear objectives, provide guidance, and ensure the development of analysts, and analytics capabilities to support data-driven decision-making across the organization.
• Lead the development and implementation of a robust prediction modeling that accurately forecasts growth and capacity requirements.
• Enable the organization to make informed decisions in a dynamic environment.
• Oversee the capacity planning process, ensuring adequate resources are available to meet evolving needs while maintaining cost efficiencies.
• Participate in all appropriate programming and marketing meetings for assignments.
• Collaborate with production teams to gather elements needed to promote projects.
• Apply the prediction model and input data to produce precise and accurate budget forecasts, aligning with the organization's Opex financial model.
• Identify cost optimization opportunities and work with cross-functional teams to implement strategies that improve efficiency while meeting performance objectives.
• Track and analyze Infrastructure Tech's OKRs related to budget forecasting and actuals, striving to maintain a low variance, and actively taking corrective actions when needed.
• Manage and lead a team of skilled analysts, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Experience in the launch and optimization of processes and programs crafted to continuously increase service delivery.
Basic Qualifications:
• Proven experience (5+ years) in capacity planning, budget forecasting, and cost optimization within an organization.
• Strong expertise in building and implementing prediction models using advanced analytical techniques and tools.
• Excellent understanding of financial models, Opex financial management, and financial analysis with strong leadership skills and a track record of leading and motivating successful teams.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $185,000.00 - 200,000.00. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
