Overview and Responsibilities

We are currently searching for a Senior Financial analyst who is enthusiastic about the media industry! This individual will play a key role in supporting leadership with financial, strategic, and analytical support across our finance organization. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain experience and grow within our Content Finance team.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Evaluate scheduling rollouts initiated by business teams to generate monthly outlook reports, comparing them against the latest estimates, budgets, and prior year data.
  • Manage the Long-Range Plan (LRP) for all brands within MTVE, ensuring accuracy and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Support the team in conducting variance analysis to facilitate effective management of budgets and quarterly estimates, particularly regarding Original and non-amortized programming.
  • Collaborate with the Controllership and Residual team to review quarterly forecasts for all brands, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial objectives.
  • Partner with Production Finance to review show cost estimates, final cost true ups and communication of financial impacts, as necessary.
  • Oversee Longview programming model, making necessary adjustments based on scheduling information and business requirements.
  • Analyze pacing for non-amortized programming in collaboration with programming team, identifying, and addressing variances between actuals and forecasts.
  • Manage project setup and approval processes for Non-Amortized and Original Programming initiatives, ensuring adherence to organizational standards and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with Paramount accounting policies, GAAP, and SOX requirements throughout all financial processes and reporting activities.
  • Support HQ and T&E reporting for business teams, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Ad hoc reporting as needed to support decision-making and strategic initiatives within the organization.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, a focus in Accounting, Finance, or related area preferred
  • 4+ years or more of related FP&A and/or accounting experience

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

 

Hiring Salary Range: $72,900.00 - 95,000.00. 

 

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.  The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable,  as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
