Overview and Responsibilities:

 

We are currently seeking an eager Senior Financial Analyst for the Ad Revenue Finance team. This is a great position for a candidate looking to get a broad overview of corporate finance. This person will be responsible for the administration of various tasks about the day-to-day administration, monthly forecasting, and annual planning cycles, as well as ad hoc analysis and accounting. The ideal candidate is well organized, solution-oriented, and able to take initiative. Reports directly to Senior Director, Ad Revenue Finance and will interface with both expense and revenue teams.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

  • For monthly closes
  • Oversee the monthly close process including monthly close packages
  • Analyze and explain monthly, quarterly and annual expense variances
  • Prepare pacing reports and monitor spend against annual goals
  • Review and ensure that all monthly activities have been recorded properly including journal entries and accruals
  • Partner with Global Business Services (GBS) and Controller’s group to orchestrate necessary accounting entries to be made
  • For budgeting, forecasting and planning
  • Participate in meetings with each business unit and support them by providing schedules, guidelines, training, etc.
  • Communicate all information and changes to the relevant parties in a timely manner
  • Work on an as‐needed basis with business unit to discuss the status of their business and progress versus the budget or estimate and provide direction for financial issues to be resolved
  • Maintain forward looking reporting and ensure financial information is clear and accurate, timely and useful to key stakeholders for decision‐making
  • Other ad hoc requests and analyses

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • BA required in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in a cost accounting or financial planning
  • Strong budgeting background is imperative, with an ability to find creative solutions
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Experience with ERP systems and related technologies

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

 

Hiring Salary Range: $85,000.00 - 100,000.00. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.  The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable,  as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
