CBS Sports is looking for a Senior Video Editor to lead the charge in crafting world-class content for our soccer social media accounts! This is a key creative role ideal for someone with a sharp editorial instinct, elite-level editing skills, and a passion for the global game.

You’ll play a central role in shaping our look, feel, and storytelling across platforms, editing high-impact short- and long-term social video!

You’ll work on everything from reactive shortform clips to original social franchises and branded content. You’ll also guide other producers, ensuring our standards stay high and our creative evolves with the sport.The ideal candidate understands how soccer fans consume content, knows what works across platforms, and can deliver with both speed and precision.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Edit high-performing video content for CBS Sports’ soccer social channels — from fast-turnaround matchday clips to longer-form original features
• Shape and evolve the visual identity of Golazo video across platforms by setting templates, workflows, and creative standards
• Own creative execution on major tentpole projects (Champions League, NWSL, World Cup, etc.) — from pitch to final cut
• Provide creative direction and feedback to other producers to elevate the overall quality of output
• Collaborate with producers, designers, and talent to concept and execute original video formats and content series
• Work closely with producers to ensure all videos are optimized for each platform’s best practices

What We’re Looking For

• 4+ years of experience editing high-impact video for social media, ideally in sport
• Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Premiere (After Effects a major plus)
• Ability to demonstrate strong storytelling, sharp pacing, and creative flair
• Strong visual instincts from shot selection to sound design and motion graphics
• Deep passion for men's and women's soccer
• Comfort working under pressure, on tight deadlines, and during live matches
• A collaborative spirit and willing to both lead and support across multiple projects
• Flexible availability during evenings and weekends to support live soccer coverage
• Experience developing branded or sponsored content for digital platforms

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $77,000.00 - 96,000.00. 

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.  The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable,  as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
