Overview:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Lead a global production and design strategy for entire publishing program.

Define standards for visual design and product formats.

Partner with IP stakeholders and franchise leads to align publishing with studio priorities.

Evaluate new formats, technologies, and workflows that unlock growth in publishing.

Build and mentor a high-performing team of designers, production editors/managers and freelancers.

Own production budgets, timelines, schedules and resource planning.

Establish scalable workflows, templates, and design guidelines.

Promote a culture of creativity, innovation, and operational excellence.

Manage file delivery for different publishing categories and formats, including digital and print.

Collaborate with publishing partners on best-in-class print production, color management, typography, and material choices.

Ensure all products meet safety, legal, accuracy, accessibility and brand requirements worldwide.
Basic Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree (BA, BS) and/or equivalent design education.

10+ years working within the publishing industry with demonstrated experience designing/producing branded or media-driven titles and managing a high-performing team.

Solid track record managing complex creative relationships and licensor approvals.

Mastery of Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign as well as proficiency in MSOffice platforms.
-
Domestic & International Travel may be required.

Solid comprehension of production processes, adhering to budgets, and best in class manufacturing practices.

Established relationships with illustrators, agents, and publishers across a variety of categories.

Ability to collaborate in a fast-moving environment; Flexible and able to adapt to diverse projects and competing priorities.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $150,000.00 - 175,000.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
