Overview:

 

As Senior Director, Risk Management, you are responsible for working on Paramount’s world-wide insurance programs and risk management initiatives. Working with the support of a team, you also operate independently to develop strong and positive internal relationships with our Finance, Legal, Operations, and Human Resource teams. As a subject matter expert you will provide guidance, problem-solve, and respond to a broad range of program related queries and contract review needs. You will also collaborate closely with external partners at our brokerage firms and insurance carriers. You will report to the Executive Vice President, Risk Management.
 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

•    Manage various insurance programs including Property & Casualty (Domestic and International), Aviation, Surety, and others as requested •    Identify and capture worldwide exposure information for annual insurance renewals
•    Analyze exposure data to identity new risks, gaps in coverage, and appropriate policy limits
•    Aggregate risk exposure and loss data for applications and marketing presentations
•    Identify alternative risk transfer options 
•    Assist with due diligence requests related to M&A activity and integration of insurance policies and practices for acquired companies
•    Partner with Legal and Operations to review contracts (Blanket Vendors Agreements, License Agreements, Statements of Work, Leases, etc.) for risk-related clauses and insurance requirements 
•    Correspond with and advise the divisions on general and complex insurance queries including claims and coverage issues
•    Conduct seminars or training sessions on risk management practices, insurance programs, and claims reporting processes for teams in the US, UK, and ROW
•    Create and maintain clear, consistent risk management processes and documentation
•    Recommend improvements to risk assessment methodologies, reporting processes, and data visualization tools
•    Stay current with industry best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging risk
 

Basic Qualifications:

 

•    12+ years of risk management and insurance experience including placement, claims handling, and contract review 
•    Bachelor’s degree required; A Master’s or professional certifications (CPCU, ARM, CRM) are a plus

•    Strong quantitative, analytical, and critical thinking skills
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to convey technical information clearly to varied audiences
•    Ability to multi-task, manage competing priorities, and strict deadlines
•    High level of discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information
•    Great teammate with a positive and forward-thinking attitude
•    Advanced Microsoft Office and RIMS (claims systems) skills
•    Ability to travel (domestic and international)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

 

Hiring Salary Range: $195,000.00 - 250,000.00. 

 

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.  The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable,  as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
