Overview and Responsibilities:
Parmount Global’s Sports & Special Events IT team is looking for a dynamic and experienced professional to lead our Sports & Special Events IT team. This role involves crafting, deploying, and supporting production networks and systems for high-profile live events. The ideal candidate will possess a solid technical background, superb communication skills, and a passion for innovation and high standards.
Responsibilities Include:
- Leadership and Team Management: Lead the IT team in crafting, deploying, and supporting on-prem, hybrid, and cloud-based production networks and systems.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Facilitate information sharing and provide technical training for new systems and solutions across teams.
- Technical Broadcast Planning: Plan and implement network design, capacity planning, and contingency/redundancy planning for top-tier live events such as NFL, NCAA Football & Basketball, PGA Tour golf, and awards shows.
- Network Infrastructure Management: Configure and maintain network infrastructure and other production systems and equipment.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure IT infrastructure aligns with Paramount Technology and InfoSec standards and protocols.
- Documentation and Presentation: Write clear business narratives, including proposed strategies, SOPs, and standard processes documents, and present them to leadership.
- Event Technical Summaries: Provide technical summaries of major events, capture technical concerns and issues, and prioritize them for future resolution.
- Innovative Solutions: Demonstrate entrepreneurial spirit, excellent judgment, and communication skills, and deliver innovative solutions while building a capable team.
Basic Qualifications:
- 10+ years in technology domains such as systems engineering, infrastructure, networking, security, data & analytics.
- 6+ years configuring, deploying, and supporting Cisco networking products.
- 6+ years administering Windows, MacOS, and Linux systems.
Additional Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or equivalent.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to communicate complex principles in non-technical terms and solve production issues through various support methods.
- Broadcast TV Expertise: Extensive experience with broadcast TV standards, workflow, and technologies related to routing, switching, encoding, audio processing, and distribution.
- Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of distributed systems design, core routing and switching design, configuration, and problem solving.
- Networking Skills: Understanding of Enterprise and Service Provider networking, including OSPF, IS-IS, vPC, port-channeling, IPSEC, QoS, VLAN, Multicast, BGP, Traffic Engineering, L3VPN, VRF.
- Fiber Optic Cabling: Hands-on experience installing and troubleshooting fiber optic cabling.
- Network Automation: Experience with network automation and version control tools such as Ansible and Git.
- Broadcast Systems: Experience using/coordinating broadcast systems/software like ENPS, Autoscript teleprompters, Enco Digital Audio Delivery workstations, Signiant Flight, EVS replay systems, LiveU transmission platform.
- Documentation Skills: Ability to develop and maintain user documentation and diagrams in Lucid/Visio.
- Monitoring Platforms: Ability to administer system and network monitoring platforms like Nagios/New Relic.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, and travel for project and remote event support.
- Operational Support: Provide on-call support for 24x7 production on-air technology systems and infrastructure, and participate in major incident calls to resolve system or network outages.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $140,000.00 - 165,000.00. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
