Primary Responsibilities:
Paramount Tech is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead strategic initiatives across its Ad Platforms organization. As the Senior Project Manager, you will drive end-to-end delivery of complex, high-profile projects underpinning Paramount’s advertising technology roadmap. You will partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, Architecture, and Operations leaders to align business objectives with execution, ensuring quality, scalability, and timeline commitments are met across multiple workstreams and teams. As a successful candidate, you are highly organized and able to simultaneously manage multiple initiatives of varying complexity, prioritizing your work appropriately. You have outstanding communication skills, with the ability to summarize and present at both an executive and team level. You exhibit leadership in your ability to proactively identify issues, communicate, organize, and bring together teams both inside and outside of Paramount in multiple locations and time zones to solve problems. You are fluent in Ad Platform concepts and have a solid working foundation in both Agile and traditional project management. The candidate will be expected to:

Lead planning, execution, and delivery of cross-functional Ad Platform initiatives spanning multiple teams and vendors.

Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, risk registries, and communication frameworks to ensure transparency and accountability at all levels.

Drive alignment between program priorities and engineering capacity, optimizing workflows and team velocity across releases.

Champion Agile best practices across multiple scrum teams, mentoring Project Managers, Scrum Masters, and engineering leads on process maturity and consistency.

Cultivate executive-level visibility into project status, risks, and outcomes through dashboards, reports, and business reviews.

Facilitate effective go-live planning and deployment readiness, ensuring operational teams are fully enabled for post-launch support.

Strengthen vendor relationships and manage external partner deliverables, SLAs, and integration timelines.

Identify process efficiency opportunities across the Ad Platform ecosystem, implementing repeatable frameworks for improved resource allocation and release management.

Lead retrospectives across multiple programs to drive continuous improvement and scalability in execution practices.

Drive efficient team operations by promoting a common understanding of Scrum roles, rituals, artifacts, and processes, ensuring their adherence through a voice of reason and authority, and by facilitating Scrum ceremonies.

Optimize the team to their highest potential and embodies the spirit of Agile and continuous improvement, by motivating the team towards self-organization, by surfacing data and learnings that illuminate areas to improve, and by continually learning and applying new tools and techniques to manage himself or herself and coach the team.

Create transparency into the team and trust with the business and stakeholders, by continuously honing team estimation capabilities, by keeping the team focused on delivering on their roadmap commitments, and by providing visibility into team progress through demos, sprint progress reporting, and communication.

Identifies, tracks, and removes impediments for feature/project and team success.

Facilitates the creation of a well-defined product backlog.

Ensures planning of go-live and deployment activities and facilitates their execution.

Ensures that all team members understand and accept their roles and responsibilities.

Assists with resource allocation and effective capacity planning for the team to determine what team can take on in any given sprint.

Monitors sprint velocity and works with the team to determine how they can continue to improve on velocity and recognize additional efficiencies as they mature.

Tracks and reports key project metrics, informing stakeholders as appropriate.

Manages feature/project delivery with respect to capital budgets.

Manages relationships with all invested parties, including (but not limited to): Product, Engineering, Brands/Audiences, and/or other key stakeholders.

Learns, understands, and actively uses project management & ticket tracking software to effectively manage the team’s backlog and sprint-committed items.

Basic Qualifications (3 bullets, required/must have):
The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, experience, and talents:

5-8+ years in Agile project management in a well-established, high-performing Agile software development environment with at least some dedicated teams.

Advanced knowledge of Scrum and other Agile frameworks and software engineering practices, as well as traditional project management approaches.

Ability to understand technologies applicable to assigned product or service area and facilitate resolution of technical needs as they arise.
-
Comfortable leading business and technology in vetting technical options.
-
Superb written and verbal communications, presentation skills, and meeting facilitation skills (including with an executive audience).
Additional Qualifications (bullets):

Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience.
-
Certified Scrum Master certification, along with other Agile and traditional certifications (like CSPO, PMP) highly preferred.

Experience with Ad Platform systems is preferred.

Experience driving initiatives within a media company and/or in an online consumer facing business environment.

Possesses a solid technical background; ability to drive resolution of technical issues and incorporate technical and architectural considerations into planning, decisions, and recommendations.

Ability to influence and motivate people to high levels of performance and teamwork.

Demonstrated working partnership with engineers (including QA), technical and business management, department heads, and product managers.

Strong knowledge and passion about Agile principles and practices.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $111,000.00 - 147,000.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
