Overview: 

As a Vice President of 360 Consumer Marketing & Brand Strategy at PTV/BET Networks, the ideal candidate will be responsible for the development and execution of marketing strategies to drive awareness of and engagement for BET programming and Brand initiatives. The main target of the marketing strategy and in-market plans will be to drive viewership, consumer engagement; while delivering unprecedented brand love for the BET brand. 

This role is a part of the broader Paramount TV Marketing Organization with specific focus on the BET brand. Key focus areas for the role include developing show launch strategies, leading franchise brief development, and building winning cross functional launch plans that include insights, marketing strategy, creative executions, digital marketing, show experiential, and performance research. The role will also be integral to developing bold and disruptive ideas to further build the BET brand on a national, local and global basis.

The role will report directly to the EVP of Marketing. The ideal candidate will be a skilled and creative marketing professional with robust analytic, media, and project management skills. One who has a disruptive and curious nature, as well as the ability to solve problems creatively and autonomously will be welcomed to a high performing and dynamic team that is focused on doing meaningful work that matters.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Operate as the connective tissue for brands and various corporate departments to share information across the organization

  • Development and execution of BET brand strategies designed to drive brand health and love for BET

  • Manage execution of marketing campaigns in collaboration with other departments across disciplines (On-Air, Paid Media, Digital, Social, Press/Special Events, etc.)

  • Develop marketing briefs by compiling research, insights, competitive analysis

  • Identify unique partnership opportunities that reinforce the BET brand

  • Create and execute in-market brand events as needed in support of consumer marketing initiatives

  • Successfully create internal and external presentations (decks, one-sheets, recap reports, etc.)

  • Budget tracking for campaigns and initiatives

  • Work with the Research, Programming, Press, and Social/Digital departments, as well as other relevant teams

    • Analyze performance and monitor partnership investments

    • Make sure improvements are made to meet overall ROI goals

 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience

  • Exemplary collaboration skills inside complex organizations

  • Demonstrate robust analytic thinking and ability to operate as a business owner

  • Ability to project-manage from start to finish

  • Top-notch written, verbal communication, and presentation skills

  • Flexibility, initiative, desire for dynamic environment

  • Solid interpersonal, relationship-development skills

  • Effective problem-solver with “can-do” attitude

  • Exemplary attention to detail and proficient PowerPoint skills

  • Well-organized with a deep ability to prioritize and a master at multitasking

 

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience in marketing, advertising, or media strategy preferred

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

 

Hiring Salary Range: $205,000.00 - 255,000.00. 

 

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.  The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable,  as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
