As a key player in the industry, we are seeking a highly skilled and expert professional to join our team as the VP, Partnerships. In this strategic leadership role, you will lead all aspects of the sales efforts with the top agency holding companies, driving revenue growth and forging positive relationships with key partners in the advertising industry.
Position Overview:
As the VP, Partnerships, you will be responsible for cultivating and growing relationships with the top agency holding companies. You will develop and implement strategies to increase sales opportunities, meet revenue targets, and strengthen our position as a trusted media partner. Your strong industry knowledge, sales expertise, and leadership capabilities will be instrumental in driving our growth and success.
Responsibilities:
1. Agency Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain positive relationships with key partners at the top agency holding companies.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for agency partners, understanding their needs, objectives, and challenges.
- Collaborate closely with agency teams to develop customized advertising solutions and campaigns that align with client objectives and drive revenue growth.
- Act as a trusted advisor to agency partners, providing insights, market trends, and recommendations to increase advertising effectiveness.
2. Sales Strategy and Execution:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth with agency holding companies.
- Identify new business opportunities, negotiate contracts, and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and product development, to align sales strategies with overall business goals.
- Use market intelligence, industry trends, and competitive analysis to refine sales strategies and identify areas for growth.
3. Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Lead and mentor a strong sales team dedicated to agency sales and partnerships.
- Set clear objectives, provide mentorship, and cultivate a team and goal oriented culture.
- Work closely with sales teams, providing mentorship, support, and coaching to drive their success in agency sales efforts.
- Collaborate with internal partners to ensure flawless coordination and alignment across departments, such as marketing, operations, and finance.
4. Industry Engagement and Thought Leadership:
- Establish a strong presence and form relationships within the advertising industry through participation in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and market shifts to provide thought leadership and strategic insights to both internal teams and agency partners.
- Represent CBS Stations in industry forums on industry gold standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles within the media industry, particularly in engaging with agency holding companies.
- Strong understanding of the advertising industry, agency landscape, and the dynamics of agency-client relationships.
- Strong relationship-building and customer management skills, with the ability to establish credibility and trust with agency partners.
- Strategic approach with the ability to develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to present compelling value propositions to agency partners.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to encourage and motivate sales teams.
- Analytical approach and ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $225,000.00 - 275,000.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
