Video Podcast Editor

Location: New York, NY based, Hybrid Work Model

Job Type: Full time: 40/hours a week

 

The CBS News podcast team is looking for an accomplished video/audio podcast producer to help expand the “48 Hours” video podcast franchise via full episode production, alongside social assets. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience working on fast-paced audio/video shows with a proven track record of effective collaboration with editorial, technical and marketing teams. We are looking for an innovative individual who can optimize workflow when it comes to the simultaneous output of audio/video content. This is a New York City based position. The video podcast editor will report to the Vice President of Podcast Editorial.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Edit weekly “48 Hours” companion audio/video podcast, along with newly commissioned series.
  • Assist with recording in the studio when required
  • Create social video assets
  • Collaborate on editorial production

 

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 5+ years editing audio/video podcasts
  • Proficiency in Adobe and/or Avid video/audio editing and mixing
  • Established knowledge of Riverside and Descript
  • Experience with scoring, utilizing music libraries
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Collaborative skills, working with various teams
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

 

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

 

Hiring Salary Range: $90,000 - 120,000. 

 

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
