Tech Specialist Production

We are seeking a multi-skilled individual to join our team as a production technician. In this role, you will be in charge of operation and maintenance of cutting-edge broadcast technology to deliver high-quality television & streaming content.  Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts may be required.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and operate technical equipment at our 24x7 production facility
• Newsroom systems (iNEWS), control room automation (Sony ELC), video switchers, robotic cameras, audio consoles, lighting, graphics and video playout
• Provide support for content creation and distribution across all media platforms
• Partner with editorial and marketing teams to execute daily newscasts and special programming
• Install and configure new technological solutions 
• Equipment troubleshooting and repair
• Conduct regular system checks, diagnose technical issues, and provide swift solutions to minimize downtime
• Collaborate with IT professionals to integrate systems with network infrastructure and ensure secure and efficient data flow
• Contribute to the development and execution of projects to optimize workflow efficiency and enhance the overall production process

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience 
• Familiar with video transmission and acquisition – ENG, cellular bonded, file transfers
• Knowledge of advanced broadcast systems, including cameras, audio equipment, and video editing tools
• Strong knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills to address technical issues promptly
• Experience in an automated television production and AR/VR environment
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on the latest advancements in broadcast & streaming technology
• Excellent Computer/IT skills
