This is a permanent role based on-site in our Pyrmont, Sydney office with shifts running 3-11pm Monday to Friday – no weekends.
Enough about us! What you’ll do as a Digital and Late News Producer:
Join the team behind 10 News and help shape the way Australians consume news. As a Digital News and Late News Producer, you’ll be at the heart of breaking stories, creating compelling content for both broadcast and social platforms. This is your chance to combine sharp editorial instincts with digital creativity - managing social accounts, crafting stories with impact, and working closely with our Late News team to deliver accurate, engaging news across every screen. If you thrive in fast-paced environments and have a passion for storytelling, this role puts you in the driver’s seat of news innovation.
Functions will also include:
- Produce compelling news stories for Late News broadcast and digital platforms, ensuring accuracy and consistency of tone
- Manage and grow 10 News Sydney social accounts, applying strict community moderation standards and developing a strong digital voice
- Collaborate with the Late News broadcast team on sourcing, packaging, and editing content for both social and on-air delivery
- Create engaging content for social and broadcast, leveraging video and photo editing skills (Canva and Adobe Premiere experience preferred)
- Monitor breaking news and emerging trends, using social and digital media to identify and deliver stories quickly and effectively.
What are we looking for in a Digital and Late News Producer? What’s important?
- Proven newsroom experience with a solid understanding of news production and breaking news workflows
- Passion for social media and digital storytelling, paired with an innovative approach to content creation
- Technical proficiency in CMS systems and video/photo editing tools (Canva and Adobe Premiere preferred)
- Exceptional attention to detail and fact-checking, with knowledge of media law and editorial standards
- Flexibility and collaboration, able to work late nights, weekends, and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
