We pride ourselves on creating content that gets people talking. What’s more, you’ll find all these great shows (and more) on our free-to-air channels (10, 10 BOLD Drama, 10 Peach Comedy, Nickelodeon), our free streaming platform 10 Play, that also includes a vast array of Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV, known as FAST channels, and our subscription video on demand service, Paramount+.
This is a permanent full-time role based in Pyrmont, Sydney.
Enough about us! What you’ll do as a Junior Developer:
We’re on the lookout for a Junior Developer to join our close-knit, agile team where no two days look the same. You’ll gain hands-on experience working across both in-house and third-party applications, contributing to everything from designing solutions and documenting tech specs to testing and troubleshooting.
Whether you’ve built your own side projects, studied programming, or just love exploring new tech, this is your chance to learn from experienced developers. You’ll work across front and back end and build real-world skills in a supportive, fast-paced environment. If you're adaptable, eager to learn, and excited by variety - this could be your perfect launchpad.
Functions will also include:
- Deliver clean, well-documented code aligned to tasks outlined in JIRA tickets, with support from senior developers
- Actively participate in daily stand-ups, peer code reviews, and technical workshops to contribute to solution design and stay across team priorities
- Continuously improve coding skills by applying feedback from code reviews and engaging in on-the-job and self-directed learning
- Create and maintain clear technical documentation and present proposed solutions and UI/UX suggestions to the broader team
- Join team-wide “show & tell” sessions to demonstrate new features or updates to end users and gather valuable feedback
What are we looking for in a Junior Developer? What’s important?
- Solid understanding of JavaScript and at least one back-end programming language (e.g. Python, Java, C++)
- A proactive approach to learning and continuous improvement, with a willingness to take on feedback through peer reviews, paired programming, and on-the-job training
- Strong attention to detail and an eagerness to explore new technologies and development practices
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset through contributing effectively in workshops, daily stand-ups, and team discussions
- Desirable to have familiarity with front-end frameworks, SQL, Git, AWS, caching principles, and CI/CD pipelines
