Enough about us! What you’ll do as a Senior Technician:  

As a Senior Technician, you will provide broadcast and systems support to all departments within the station. This will offer exposure to a large and diverse range of equipment, from studio cameras, to standardised IT infrastructure, to customised applications, servers, and SAN storage.

Your ability and willingness to learn quickly, share knowledge, and embrace change is essential. You will thrive on keeping up with the rapid technology developments in the Broadcast and IT industries.
Functions will also include:  

•    Technical support and maintenance of Broadcast equipment 
•    Working with equipment suppliers to ensure minimum down time and optimal reliability of broadcast equipment and systems.
•    Providing a professional high level of service and guidance to end users and clients.
•    Documentation of systems and procedures.

What are we looking for in a Senior Technician? What’s important?  
•    Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a Broadcast, Telecommunication or Systems Engineering role
•    Ability to assess and resolve problems accurately and quickly
•    Work well in high pressure and time critical situations
Extra points for the following, but not necessarily required:  
•    Experience in Linux OS and scripting
•    Experience supporting and maintaining broadcasting equipment, post-production system, broadcast graphic equipment and Media Asset management systems


Please note this is a rostered position:


•    Only a four day working week 

•    Working hours are between 6am-11pm (Mon-Fri) and/or 7am-11pm (Weekends)

•    Every other week, employees earn four days off in a row
