This is a Permanent Full-Time role based in Sydney.
As a News Producer at 10 News First you’ll be a valued member of our editorial team. You will have control room and lineup skills, with the ability to write and produce news stories. Your multitasking abilities will help ensure 10 News First productions go to air accurately and smoothly.
Functions will include:

Writing and helping reporters with their stories

Produce dynamic news packages including story development, graphics and animations

Video editing

Confidently and calmly working under time pressures meeting multiple daily deadlines

Control room and lineup duties as required
What are we looking for in a News Producer? What’s important?

A great eye for detail

Ability to work within a shift/weekend roster

Experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced and deadline-driven newsroom

Strong collaboration and relationship management skills

High level of communication skills

A genuine love and interest of news and what makes a good story

Ability to make decisions under presser

Control room and lining up a bulletin experience is a definite advantage
