Paramount+, a direct-to-consumer digital subscription video on-demand and live streaming service from Paramount Global, combines live sports and a mountain of entertainment. We now have a rare opportunity to join our Paramount+  Australian marketing operation in a senior role based in our Sydney office (Pyrmont). This is a permanent full time role. 

  

Enough about us! What you’ll do as the Sr Director Marketing Strategy and Growth: 

Reporting to the VP Marketing and Growth Australia, this role is responsible for architecting and executing data-driven marketing strategies that accelerate subscriber acquisition, increase engagement and retention, driving brand growth and bottom-line commercial performance.   

This role requires both strategic vision and analytical rigor, working cross-functionally with content, distribution, product, analytics and insight teams, as well as international performance marketing and lifecycle teams to ensure marketing initiatives align with business objectives.  

This senior leader is responsible for fostering a culture of innovation, strategic thinking and marketing excellence whilst holding strong executive presence and a collegiate style and a track record of successfully bringing teams along on a journey of innovation and growth. 

   

Functions will also include:  

  • Business casing:  Designing and building business cases to assess subscriber and revenue growth opportunities such as business partnerships, distribution channels, content opportunities and marketing investment cases.  
  • Forecasting:  Executing local business bottom-up forecasting including weekly pacing, monthly forecasting, annual and long-term planning.  
  • Marketing strategy:  Leading the audience mapping/segmentation strategy, leveraging market insights, consumer behavior data and competitive analysis to increase the effectiveness of the annual marketing plan and improve CAC.    
  • Leadership:  Supporting a small but highly proficient TTL media team responsible for campaign strategy and planning, execution and the advancement of our media practice locally.  
  • Biddable media:  Working collaboratively with the international performance marketing team to ensure performance budgets are a) invested to maximize audience growth at efficient ROI and b) supporting our local market campaign strategy.  
  • Testing and measurement:  Representing Australia in the ongoing development of global MMM, incrementality practices and campaign measurement models. Advocating for and developing local test-and-learn opportunities across the marketing team.  
  • Budget management:  Management of the Australian marketing budget, working across the team to ensure investment is in line with plans and pacing and delivering business value.  

 

The key criteria, skills and experience that we’re looking for:   

  • At least 15 years of experience in the areas of media, marketing strategy and biddable campaign management  
  • Entertainment / media category and/or strategic management consultancy experience highly advantageous  
  • Extensive experience developing business models and forecasts   
  • Experience working in global matrix organisations   
  • A seasoned leader renowned for inspiring and developing their people  
  • Data driven, experimental thinker with exemplary attention to detail  
  • Passionate, curious, resilient and like working in fast-paced environments  
  • Exceptional collaboration and communication skills
