This is a PERMANENT full-time role based in SYDNEY 

 

What you’ll do as a Studio Operator:  

 

We're looking for an entry-level Autocue Operator to support our studio and live broadcast news teams. No qualifications needed — just a keen eye, a steady hand, and a willingness to learn.

 

You’ll work closely with producers and presenters to keep our broadcasts running smoothly. As the Autocue Operator, you'll control the teleprompter that helps presenters stay on script — it's a crucial part of the live production puzzle.

 

 

Some of the key responsibilities include: 

 

  • Operate the autocue (teleprompter) during live news and studio recordings
  • Upload and manage scripts for on-air presenters
  • Work with producers to update and adjust scripts quickly
  • Keep your cool under pressure in a live TV setting
  • Learn on the job from some of the best in the business

 

 

What are we looking for in a Studio Operator? What’s important?   

 

This role is perfect for someone looking to break into the media industry. You might be a recent graduate or just passionate about live television.

 

You’ll bring:

 

  • An interest in TV production or media operations
  • Strong attention to detail and a calm, focused approach
  • Basic tech confidence
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Availability to work a rotating roster which includes mornings, evenings and weekends as required
