Paramount Home Entertainment division oversees Paramount Global’s transactional digital distribution (EST, VOD and PVOD) and physical media (DVD, Blu-ray & UHD) activities worldwide. This division is responsible for the sales, marketing, and distribution of home entertainment content on behalf of Paramount Pictures, Miramax, CBS, Showtime, MTV, BET, Comedy Central, Nick Jr., Nickelodeon and more.
This is a permanent full-time role based in SYDNEY.
What You’ll Do as a Supervising Technician:
As an experienced Broadcast Technician with strong expertise in Windows systems and network administration, you will have the technical depth to support and escalate critical issues for your team.
As part of our Technology team, you’ll provide essential IT and systems support across all departments within the station. In this role, you will serve as an escalation point for your team, providing guidance and support in resolving complex issues. Your deep understanding of systems will be invaluable in troubleshooting, fault-finding, and ensuring the reliability of our broadcast and IT systems.
Key responsibilities include:

Acting as an escalation point for team members, helping them troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.

Taking charge of critical issues, making quick decisions to ensure minimal downtime.

Providing advanced technical support and maintaining broadcast and IT equipment.

Collaborating with equipment suppliers to ensure optimal performance and system reliability.

Delivering high-level service and support to end users and clients.

Documenting systems and procedures to maintain operational efficiency.
What We’re Looking for in a Supervising Technician:
We’re looking for someone with Windows systems and network administration expertise who can support and guide your team when needed. If you have a background in IT or Systems Engineering, that’s even better!
Must-Have Skills & Experience:

Solid experience in Windows Systems Administration.

Strong understanding of Network Administration and Support.

Proven ability in hardware troubleshooting.

Experience serving as an escalation point for team members and resolving complex issues.

The ability to work under pressure and make decisive decisions in time-critical situations.

A professional, courteous, and effective communicator, especially when guiding and supporting team members.

A proactive problem solver who can quickly identify issues and provide solutions.

A passion for staying ahead of technological developments in broadcast and IT industries.
Nice to Have:
-
Experience with Linux OS and scripting.

Familiarity with post-production systems, broadcast graphics equipment, media asset management systems, and SQL/Oracle databases.

Strong fault-finding abilities and a deep understanding of how complex systems work.
This position requires flexibility, with rotating 10-hour shifts, 4 days a week, between 6 AM and 11 PM, and every second weekend off.
