WTOG-TV, a CBS owned and operated station, is looking for an experienced Multi-Media Journalist (MMJ). This is a per diem position. Seeking someone who has a passion for telling impactful stories on issues affecting our cities and neighborhoods, stories that offers solutions and brings value to the lives of our viewers. Candidates must have strong, creative storytelling skills with an energetic delivery.
The ideal candidate will have established relationships/contacts within the community and be able to shoot, edit and produce broadcast quality video for television newscast and digital platforms. Ability to pitch and craft enterprise content, cover breaking news, and meet workflow deadlines. Must be able to work independently, adhere to journalistic standards and best practices and have the ability to solve problems quickly. The position requires flexibility to work nights, holidays and weekends.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years’ MMJ/television reporting experience preferred
- College degree in Journalism/Communications/Broadcasting preferred, equivalent experience
- Proficiency in Premiere Pro
- Must have knowledge of Broadcast ENG cameras, lighting, audio and LiveU
- Strong social media skills and be able to contribute on all platforms
