IT Manager

Overview and Role Details:

KPIX 5 is looking for an expert IT Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities Include:

• Design, implement, and maintain the TV station’s information technology and software systems
• Provide professional, courteous, and highly productive Help Desk support for our clients on a 24x7 basis
• Develop security standards, procedures, and guidelines for multiple platforms
• Maintain local compliance with Paramount Corporate IS&T Policies and Procedures
• Work in partnership with the other BOE Managers to develop and implement new “broadcast” systems
• Manage IT staff

Basic Qualifications:

• Over 1,200 Network dedicated devices spanning 20 computer subnets over 3 locations
• Provide “Helpdesk” Support for more than 200 users
• Craft and maintain SharePoint WEB Sites and their associated applications
• Work with Paramount Corporate IT to develop, maintain, and tackle Internet and Wide Area Network access for all TV, S.F. CBS News Bureau, and WEB groups
• Networking Support for Local S.F. CBS News Bureau
• Design and implement new computer and network systems
• Install and maintain a variety of Business applications operating on wide variety of platforms
• TV Automation system servers
• Telephone and voicemail server system
• Building Security Server System
• CBS Wi-Fi network including 24 Wireless Access Points
• AVID iNews and Grass Valley Stratus Newsroom Systems
• Tele- Prompters Computer System
• Anvato Video Encoder servers for WEB Group
• News FTP Servers
• Inventory Software Licenses and maintain legitimacy
• Maintain computer network security system
• Manage the daily backing up and protecting of Department data stored on the network
• Configure and install new servers, workstations, and networking hardware
• Supervise the local IT staff
• Be “On Call” on a 24x7 basis for all the above

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $110,000.00 - 136,000.00. 

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.  The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable,  as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
