This is a permanent full-time role based in our Melbourne newsroom.
 
Enough about us! What you’ll do as a Lineup Producer at 10 News First: 
 

As the Lineup Producer you will be responsible for the planning, look and timing of the bulletin while communicating with Producers and Presenters, and guiding the bulletin to air seamlessly. 

   

Functions will also include:  

 

  • Responsible for the build, look and timing of the bulletin 
  • Writing breakers and updates 
  • Basic editing as required 
  • Oversee the creative element of the bulletin – create on-set background vision for each story, determine what is both effective and appropriate 
  • Liase with operations crew to ensure all technical aspects of bulletin are correct 
  • Work with reporters when on location for live crosses, ensuring correct timing for vision and talent 

 

 

What are we looking for in a Lineup Producer? What’s important?   

  

  • Previous experience in news lineup producing 
  • Highly effective communication and relationship skills – ability to get on well with a wide range of people, be clear about expectations and help create a strong team 
  • Passion for news, with a sound knowledge of local, national and international issues 
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure 
  • Ability to adapt to change quickly 
  • Decisive and able to make decisions under pressure 
  • Experience with I-News an advantage 
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to a changing broadcast environment
