We now have a rare opportunity for an experienced Publicist to join our team in MELBOURNE.
This is a permanent full-time role and ready for an immediate start.
Enough about us! What you’ll do as a National Senior Publicist:
As a National Senior Publicist at Paramount ANZ, you will be responsible for the planning, development and delivery of targeted strategies for publicising and profiling our content and associated talent across all of the platforms of Paramount ANZ, including Network 10, Paramount+, MTV, Nickelodeon and 10 Streaming.
This is an exciting, high-profile role and requires significant experience in a similar role with demonstrated skills and knowledge of new media and innovation, not just traditional media.
You’ll be busy doing things like this:
- Developing and implementing communication strategies for Paramount ANZ programs and talent, achieving high-level placements across print, broadcast, online, digital and social channels.
- Pitching new ideas and considering innovative ways of positively raising the profile of Paramount content and talent to create “buzz” and get people talking.
- Building connections with key media organisations and journalists across both traditional and non-traditional platforms.
- Building and fostering connections with key social media content creators and influencers to generate social media coverage across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X and YouTube.
- Actively exploring and identifying new and interesting avenues for communicating effectively and imaginatively with viewers, wherever they are, to reach both established and new audiences.
- Co-ordinating and overseeing talent interviews, screenings, launches and briefings.
- Writing clear, concise and engaging media information for shows, including press releases, media kits, and lines against enquiry, adapting your writing style to reflect the tone of the program.
- Establishing and maintaining positive and effective working relationships with a wide range of talent, agents, media, production, content creators, influencers, personal publicists and unit publicists.
- Briefing talent in advance of interviews, photo shoots and events.
What are we looking for in a National Senior Publicist? What’s important?
Skills and Experience:
- 4+ years working in a similar role, ideally in the media or entertainment industry.
- Experience in a wide range of communications functions with an established track record of delivering high profile and impactful publicity campaigns, including an understanding of digital communications and crisis management.
- An understanding of the media and television landscape and genuine passion for it.
- Established positive relationships with media organisations and journalists, and a deep knowledge of both traditional and new digital and social media channels.
- Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Social Media or Advertising would be highly regarded.
