Overview

The regulatory coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting advocacy efforts, ensuring compliance with regulations, and facilitating administrative tasks across various departments. This position requires an individual with strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate between multiple teams and collaborators.

This is a contract role for 1 year.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with advocacy before the CRTC or other regulatory agencies
  • Assist with tracking and monitoring compliance with regulations or other legal obligations imposed by the CRTC or other branches of government
  • Create regulatory worksheets, tracking documents and workflow systems as required and in coordination with Business Affairs and/or Finance
  • Coordinate deal memos to ensure all administrative details are accurate, tracked and logged internally for P+ and Pluto agreements
  • Assist with financial planning and administration across Canadian content for P+ and Pluto TV, working in coordination with Programming and Finance
  • Administrative duties in support of the VP Content and Sr Director Acquisition, Rights and Inventory and their teams, as required
  • Assist the coordination between P+ and Pluto and Acquisitions/Business Affairs to ensure deals are summarized for contracting and rights management.
  • Assist the coordination and distribution of necessary regulatory commitments, deadlines and correspondence.
  • Project support to Marketing and Communications team.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of related experience
  • Knowledge of the Canadian media and production landscape
  • Familiarity with the Canadian funding and regulatory ecosystem
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite/G Suite

  • Pro-active self-starter and teammate, ability to learn quickly and be flexible
  • Desire and interest in working across media and entertainment platforms
